When Tony arrives in Charleston, a ghost mining town, he wants to belong there. He lives in a caravan with some wekas. He decides to call them the butcher family because they are rodent killers. He hopes is Mum will stay in Charleston. In the place he stays, he finds one of the workers where he lives has a mine called frog whistle mine. He, his friend Rose and a Geologist go to the mine. There, in the mine is a uranium grotto. Then he meets a local called Duggan who seems to have sinister plans involving the uranium, but a big shock is on the way, literally.

After the huia feather craze, when thousands had been shot and they were presumed extinct, one has been spotted by Jim and Mavis, two siblings in the Te Apati Gorge. Being driven away from their house by tuis the siblings follow the huia. To follow it they take a jigger through the tunnels. Half way through Jim and Mavis hear the roar of an oncoming train. That was 40 years ago. Now Jim and his grandson Logan are trying to find the last huia.

Ski Trip

I DIDN'T SKI!!! I snowboarded. In the start I did snowboard lessons. We did an exercise called Awesome Abs. We had to sit on the slope and then flip around the snowboard then we bent our knees to stand on the snowboard and go slowly down backwards. Then we tuned around and started snowboarding. I only fell over 10, 000 times! Then I climbed a slope on a mountain. to get down we slid and grabbed plants on the way to stop us. On the way down I missed the last plant and fell onto the beginners ski area. 

IT WAS AWESOME!
Next year I will ski and see what I preferred. I will do that for year eight.

Baby Jupiter Found

Scientists have found a planet that is like a smaller Jupiter. This planet has been called 51 Eridani B and is only 20 million years old! (this is young for a planet) This planet was found by the GPI (Gemini Planet Imager) in Chile. This is a special telescope used to find planets.

Zach and Gray are nephews of Claire. Claire has a job at Jurassic World, and works for Simon Masarani. Simon needs to make a new dinosaur to keep the park open "it needs to be bigger, scarier, MORE TEETH" Mr Masarani told the geneticist, Dr Henry Wu, who the T-Rex  bigger, scarier AND HAVE MORE TEETH. Meanwhile, Owen, the raptor handler, is troubled with his boss, Vic Hoskins, who wants to use the dinosaurs as weapons. "they'll charge right into the enemies teeth and eat 'em belts, buckles and all!" Zach and Gray are given passes with special privileges. And so when Zach is 'concerned' there not getting the 'full Jurassic experience' he decides to take his brother to see four dinosaurs in a gyro-sphere. Its plexiglass then reveals something else... When "Indomonus Rex" the new Dinosaur escapes, it sets of a set of chain reactions that saves lives and kills.

Terry Pratchett wrote this book about a small boy called Ralph who is a fill in for King Arthurs Knights. Where are the Knights anyway? Well, they are on leave, gone hunting, on holiday or visiting there grannies. Then a bad day gets worse because dragons have invaded Crumbling Castle! DISASTER! Ralph is sent to kill the dragons and finds The Friday Knight, Fossfiddle the Wizard and a very Weeny Dragon. Off to crumbling castle... But there is a Small Surprise! Dragons at crumbling castle is One of thirteen stories! All about animals, eggs, buses and the town of blackberry...

I recommend this book to EVERYONE. (it is so funny) My favourite story was New Speck (it is so funny) because it is great!

Parts of the Malaysia Airlines 777 that went missing have been found. The flight MH370 went missing on is way from Malaysia to China. The plane went missing over a year ago and many people believe that it is somewhere in the Indian Ocean. Then a piece of the wing called a flaperon was found along with a suitcase. Both pieces washed up on reunion island near Madagascar. Today it was confirmed this is definitely a part of MH370. The question is, where is the rest of it...
