Kidslit in Wellington

We WON the regional kidslit!
That means we go to WELLINGTON for 2 nights.
My family decided to come and stay a bit longer.
Instead of leaving Wellington on Sunday...   We are leaving it on Thursday!!!!!

Friday:

On the way there I traveled with my kidslit team. There were four of us in the team. There was Me, Yotam, Sophie and Nina. We arrived in Christchurch and went to the AMAZING Margret Mahy playground!!!! We flew up 2 hours later and then when we landed and checked into the motel we had Chinese for dinner.

The next day we went to the Sir Peter Jackson's war museum. It was incredible and I really recommend it. THEN THERE WAS THE NATIONAL KIDSLIT!!!! It was a buzzer competition. A school called Wellersley won! We came 6th out of 16.
Then we went to Te Papa, the national museum. We went to the Gallipoli exhibit. It is really awesome because there is so much detail in, well... EVERYTHING!

On Sunday Sophie and Nina left and I went to my family and Auntie who lives in Wellington. We went out for brunch with other family I didn't know were related. It was all my Grandma's family.

On Monday we saw Yotam and his family at Te Papa. We stayed the whole day. My favorite part was going to the earthquake house. There was a cool art exhibit and at the start we played tag in the bushes and courtyard at Te Papa

On Tuesday and Wednesday we went shopping. I got the board game risk. It is really fun. I also got the Nerf Modulus Stealth Ops kit for my Nerf.

On Wednesday night we drove with my Aunt (called Rachel) to the boat cafe to see the play Hamlet, a Shakespeare tragedy. It was really good. All of the cast were women. Hamlet is my second favorite play after Macbeth.

The next day we woke up (very) early and drove to the airport, flew out with Jetstar and drove back home. That was my holiday!

  1. Hi Jimmy. I loved reading about your adventure in Wellington and I am super Jealous that you got to see some live Shakespeare as I am a huge theatre fan. Perhaps one day I will get to see the same play in Wellington as it sounds fabulous!
