Week 1 Reflection

This is the first week of the Term. This is what we have been doing:

Numeracy:
In Numeracy we have been doing testing. We also had to make a presentation of something we had learnt. I did volume of cubes:


I need to focus on Area and Volume

Art:
We are doing Van Gogh art. We have to make some presentations on Van Gogh. We also have to make a piece of Van Gogh art. Some Van Gogh 

Reading/Writing:
In reading and writing we have been doing work on School Journals. We have to answer questions about the Journal. 

Other Stuff
On Monday we made ANZAC biscuits for ANZAC day. We had to make a batch of ANZAC biscuits. Then we shared them with the staff at school. We got to have some, of course!

Weekly Reflection

This week has been pretty laid back. We Did:

Reading: We finished The Boy In The Striped Pajamas! We have started reading his own novel.

Writing: Nothing really

Maths: Maths buddy. Lots of Reflections.

Topic: Antarctica.

Weekly Reflections.

Reading: This week we started a new class novel. The Boy in Striped Pajamas. It is about a boy called Bruno. His father gets a job running the Auschwitz Concentration Camp... 

Writing: We did a explanation on the life cycle of a frog. We also did one on what happens when we sleep.

Maths: Maths Buddy...

Tech: We started Sewing Tech. We started making a pin cushion. We DIDN'T Sew the pin cushion because we ran out of time.

Exiting Stuff: I nearly broke my arm. (PS GREY HOSPITAL IS SO S-L-O-W....) 

Weekly Reflection Week 2

This Week In Room 17 Miss Hines was away for Monday and Tuesday so we had Miss Lagen, who does Senior Explorers. On the first day, I had Senior Explorers. This term we have to self teach ourselves a language. Me and my friend Griffin were learning Russian. On Tuesday we made a google slide between the class about ourselves.

On Wednesday Miss Hines was back. She had been sick. A lot of the school had been sick because of Influenza. On Monday 90 people were away.

On Thursday it was a music day. First I had guitar. I am learning about the musical alphabet. Next, at lunch I had choir. We are going to Christchurch. In the afternoon we had school singing.

This week we started a new book called See Ya, Simon. I have some blog posts about the activities we had to do.

In technology we are doing cooking.

In topic I am making an Olympic venue. Here it is.


I think this week has been quite good and relaxed. 

Weekly Reflections

This week on Banqer, a money website we use, I made a new business... Lotto! The amount of money we got was pretty good.

We are reading a new novel called Kensukes Kingdom. It is by Michael Morpurgo and is very good. I made a book cover for the book. It is on another post I have made. 

On Monday I had GNT. We have to create a modern TV show in a historical time. We have made the bachelor in the time of King Henry viii. This is because he had 6 wives and 2 of them were executed!

For writing we have been writing Haiku poems. In the movie 'Hunt For The Wilderpeople' the boy, Rikki Baker, Is obsessed with Haiku's.

This week has been pretty good overall.
